Vinkara Doruk Kalecik Karası Red Wine Pack Of 3
Vinkara Doruk Kalecik Karası Red Wine Pack Of 3 is made from Kalecik Karası grapes indigenous to Anatolia. Grapes are hand harvested. Cold pre-fermentation maceration and controlled temperature fermentation on the skins in stainless steel tanks. The wine spends 12 months in tank before bottling. Ruby in color with slight garnet reflections. Intense flavors of ripe red fruits, strawberries, raspberries and plum are present on the palate along with spicy notes of black pepper and chestnuts. Vinkara Kalecik Karası is smooth, well balanced and intense with a long lingering finish. Ready to drink upon release, this wine will improve for 2-4 years.
The winter temperatures were in the norm and there was a fresh spring with a little late budbreak. The summer was quite fresh with few precipitation and a high thermic differential. The maximum temperatures never exceeded 35°C and the minimum during August were under 15°C and under 10°C in September. All these factors provided an excellent quality of the grapes due also to a reduced production and a perfect sanity of the grapes.
The Vineyard – Kalecik / Ankara
Vinkara’s Kalecik vineyard is located northeast of Ankara in the Mid-Northern Anatolia province. At an altitude of 2,000 feet the vineyard is surrounded by nearby mountains and the Kızılırmak River. The river creates an extraordinary mesoclimate for producing wines with naturally high acidity that are powerfully complex. Due to these unique weather conditions, the most prominent grape cultivated in Kalecik carries the name of the region. Kalecik Karası is one of the three most important red grape varieties in Turkey.
Ideal Food Match
Vinkara Doruk Kalecik Karası Red Wine is recommended to be served at 16-18°C and matches perfectly with light pasta dishes, braised meats, lamb, and aged cheese.
Vinkara Doruk Series

Vinkara WinesVinkara Wines date back to the 1960s when the group purchased land in the Kalecik region in Ankara. With over 20 years of experience in the construction business in the USA market, the group's first generation owners made the decision to invest in land in the Anatolian region because of the region's high-quality soil and potential for viniculture. Today, Vinkara has vineyards and production facilities on 200 acres of land. The first priority at Vinkara is to develop and produce Kalecik Karası, Öküzgözü, Boğazkere and Narince grapes, all native grapes of Anatolia. Additionally, Vinkara wines process the internationally known grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling at production facility which has a capacity to produce 1,3 million liters of wine. In Vinkara wines facilities they use cooling tanks with the latest in state of the art technology and wines are aged in French oak barrels in wine caves.
