Paşaeli Wild Ferment Çalkarası 2020
Paşaeli Wild Ferment Çalkarası 2020 Red Wine is produced from Çalkarası grapes variety which is native to Çal – Denizli. Grown a single vineyard with old vines that lies at 900 metres elevation, it is fermented with native yeast only.
The grapes were handpicked, partially destemmed and crushed, and partially fermented as whole bunch. The wine was made with native yeast only. The wine was barrel-aged for 8 months in French oak barrels of 225 liters and 3 months in the bottle.
Light vibrant ruby-red colour. The nose is delightful with aromas of raspberries, black tea, thyme, and wild herbs, with a touch of sweet spices. It is very juicy in the mouth, with fresh red berries, balanced acidity and pleasant tannins create a very gentle mouthfeel. Best served very slightly chilled.
