Paşaeli Skin Contact Sidalan
Paşaeli Skin Contact Sidalan White Wine is produced from grapes which were destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tank at 18°C using native yeast. The maceration on the skins prior to pressing was 58 days in total. Once fermentation was finished, the wine was aged on its fine lees, and stirred once a week to add complexity. Medium gold. Inviting aromas of dried grass, honey and caramelised apricots. On the palate it is bone-dry with firm but chewy tannins, apricot and pear brings complexity and depth. Great food wine.
Skin Contact Wines
Skin Contact Wines are white wines that are made in the same way that red wines are. They ferment with the grape skins, which impart color to the wine. Skin-contact wines can range in color from golden-straw yellow to vibrant amber to light orange depending on how long the juice ferments with the skins—anywhere from a few hours to many months. The time spent on the skins also imparts red wine characteristics, such as a larger body and more tannin, while retaining the acidity of a white wine. The longer the skins are in contact with the juice, the bigger and bolder the wine becomes.
