Best Of Paşaeli Red Wine Tasting Set Of 6

Paşaeli Kaynaklar Red Wine is Bordeaux red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot grapes. Organic farming procedures are applied for growing. The grapes are handpicked, destemmed and crushed. The wine is fermented with native yeast only. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tank with a skin contact of 3 weeks with pumping overs. Aged 24 months in 50% new and 50% 1-year old French oak barrels of 225 liters, and bottle aged for 1 year. It has a deep dark cherry red color. The nose has rich aroma of sweet, ripe blackberry and plum, with dark chocolate notes. On the palate it is firm, dense with chewy sweet tannins filled with pure fruit. The fruit shines through the oak influence. A big, full-bodied, balanced wine with a long finish.

 

Paşaeli K2 Red Wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot varieties grown in Paşaeli’s Serez vineyard in Kaynaklar-Izmir that lies at 235 metres elevation. The grapes are handpicked, destemmed and crushed. It is fermented with native yeast only. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tank with a skin contact of 3 weeks with pumping overs. The wine is barrel aged for 12 months in one year old French oak barrels, and a minimum of 6 months in bottle. Deep dark, cherry red color, the nose has rich aromas of sweet, ripe cassis and blackberry. The palate is firm and dense with chewy sweet tannins filled out with pure fruit, and oak overtones. A big, full-bodied, balanced wine with a long finish.

 

Paşaeli Hoşköy Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine is made with grapes grown in Paşaeli’s Hoşköy – Tekirdağ vineyards on the European part of Turkey. It lies at 150 metres elevation. Fermented with native yeast only, it is barrel aged for 24 months in French oak barrels of 225 liters, and bottle aged for at least 18 months before release. Dark color. Black forest berries, currant, ripe plum tones dominate the nose. The palate has a very long finish with strong, velvety tannins, mature rich black fruit flavors, strong body and barrel flavors.

Paşaeli Wines built a boutique winery in Kemalpaşa near the port city of Izmir in the western part of Turkey. Total production is currently around 150.000 bottles a year. Also, they have four vineyards of 15 hectares, one near the city of İzmir (close to the village of Kaynaklar), two more near the city of Tekirdağ and one more near the city of Çanakkale. Kaynaklar and Hoşköy vineyards were planted by them but Şarköy vineyard has 50 years “old vines” of Yapıncak variety and Gedik vineyard has 35 years “old vines” of Karasakız variety. Hand harvest indigenous grape varieties were planted in the Aegean region, such as Sultaniye, Yapıncak, Çalkarası, and Karasakız, and Bordeaux varieties were planted near İzmir. Paşaeli wines are one of the most popular wines from Turkey.
