Mazrona is native grape to the Midyat area in the greater Mardin province. Traditionally vinified with their skins and pips until the fermentation that is completed by ambient yeasts is over. Shiny brass in colour with distinct bubbles. Discreet nose dominated by yeasty notes followed by grapefruit aromas and stony minerality. Oily palate with quite a flabby start. More freshness towards the end but still not enough refreshment overall. Very neutral flavours indeed.
