Tasheli – Patkara

Tasheli Patkara Red Wine is produced from Patkara grapes native to Mersin region which was once forgotten and almost lost. Grown in 50 years of age Old Vines, it is the most precious grape of Mersin Terroir. Grapes are grown in limestone rich calcareous loam soil profile. Climate of the region accompany with hot summers, benefit from both Mediterranean winds and high altitude winds on the slopes of Taurus Mountains. Grapes are carefully hand picked and spend maturation time in stainless tanks.

Tasting Notes

Color: Garnet with ruby tints
Nose: Red and black fruit aromas, distinct notes of pomegranate, sage and black pepper
Palate: Medium bodied with soft tannins. Luscious acidity, medium finish with spicy aftertaste
