Tasting Notes

Clear, ruby in colour with a complex nose of black cherry, mullberry and blackberry aromas. On the palate, it has soft round tannins, medium body, and a long elegant finish. This 100% Kalecik Karasi can be enjoyed with light mediterranean dishes or on its own.

Vinolus is founded by Miss Olus Molu in Central Anatolia near Cappadocia. The estate grown vineyards are organic certified. Since 2005, the team Vinolus is working meticulously to craft wines better than the year before. The philosophy is simple; respect the mother nature and touch every grape berry with love and affection. The story of Vinolus continues at an altitude of 1150 m.

Vinification

The grapes were hand harvested in 20 kg boxes in first week of September 2018 from our volcanic sandy clay soil. After two days of cold maceration, the alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at 14°C and lasted for 20 days. Then the wine was transferred to another tank where the malolactic fermentation took place. 50% of wine was matured in new French oak and the rest in stainless steel tank for 8 months.
