VINEYARD
Sauvignon Blanc variety is grown on the Istranca massif north of the “Thrace”. Grapes comes from Chamlija Parpara, Kurtçatağı and Tozaklı Vineyards. Parpara Vineyard is 300 meters above sea level and the soil is limestone, clay, sand and quartz pebbles. Kurtçatağı Vineyard is 280 meters above sea level and the soil is chalk, clay and quartz stone. Tozaklı Vineyard is 250 meters above sea level and the soil is red clay with quartz pebbles.
WINEMAKING
The grapes were pressed max 0.6 bar with whole clusters. The juice was fermented in French oak at 12C for 20 days. After the fermentation the wine ageing on the lees for 12 months in French oak with lees stirring twice a week.
TASTING NOTES
Stunning nose of peaches and nectarine in the beginning are enriched with fresh herbs and mints on a washed quartz stone with a dash of lime juice. Apure, elegant and artistically created wine. It is a hymn to the freshness, elegance and balance of Strandja terroir, whereas the intensity and length of fruit and minerality is exceptional.
