Vinkara Mahzen Boğazkere 2016
Vinkara Mahzen Boğazkere Red Wine was aged for 30 months in château-style 225 liter French Burgundy barrels and then further aged in our wine caves after bottling. It has an intense ruby color with garnet reflections as well as rich tannins with balanced & soft sensations. Besides smoked, toasted almond and red fruit aromas, the wine is rich in licorice and leather aromas, has an excellent long finish of chocolate and black cherry flavors, and elegantly pairs with rich, flavorful foods. Seasonal pattern characterized by spring and summer temperatures slightly above average. Also the rainfall was higher than normal with the month of September characterized by a high temperature range between night and day.

Vinkara Wines
Vinkara Wines date back to the 1960s when the group purchased land in the Kalecik region in Ankara. With over 20 years of experience in the construction business in the USA market, the group's first generation owners made the decision to invest in land in the Anatolian region because of the region's high-quality soil and potential for viniculture. Today, Vinkara has vineyards and production facilities on 200 acres of land. The first priority at Vinkara is to develop and produce Kalecik Karası, Öküzgözü, Boğazkere and Narince grapes, all native grapes of Anatolia. Additionally, Vinkara wines process the internationally known grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling at production facility which has a capacity to produce 1,3 million liters of wine. In Vinkara wines facilities they use cooling tanks with the latest in state of the art technology and wines are aged in French oak barrels in wine caves. Also at their laboratory located on premises at their facility, they scrutinize every step of the production of the grapes, wine making process and bottling to ensure Vinkara wines high quality and standards. Vinkara's objective is not to just reach a limited audience, but rather a larger audience of wine consumers.
